My buddy got a good screwin' at the JD dealer today

He had ice in the float bowl of his Oliver 550 with a MS carb on it. Wouldn't ya know he lost the float needle in the snow. So I told him go to Blank & blank they probably have them on hand. Well they had one, and I don't know what it fit, but it matched what he needed. They charged him over twenty bucks for a needle and seat! Now I know he coulda/shoulda walked out the door but he had driven forty five minutes yada yada yada. The point is that sometimes this stuff just gets way out of hand. I can't find a catolog in my house that lists them over six bucks. I guess I'm fumed because I told him to go there and get fixed up. I guess they fixed him.
