Last week I purchased a tractor that was listed on the internet. We talked over the phone at length about the condition. I mentioned that I wouldn't like to drive 500 miles and discover some surprises. I agreed to send the guy a check and I would pick up the tractor as soon as possible. I picked it up yesterday. 3 minutes after I got out of my pickup, lifted the side curtain on the 10-20, I noticed an area about 12 inches long and 2 inches wide on left lower side of block that was covered with JB weld. Obviously the block had cracked. When I pointed this out to the seller, he said that he had never noticed it before. JB weld had not been painted over so it was easy to see. This place where I bought the tractor is run by about 4 family members. The individual I talked to offered to give my another block which was on another tractor. I didn't want to wait around so I decided to load the tractor and left. After thinking about it for 500 miles, I guess I am still a little disappointed and have a real hard time believing that they didn't know about the JB weld. What would you have done in a case like this? I called the bank , and they said the check hadn't cleared yet.

My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
