Dear Brad , I feel the same way that you do, except there are only about a handfull or 2 in my area that want to farm. Un fortunate for me there is no farm history whatso ever in our family. But ever since i was a kid i have wanted to do it. When i was 10 i bought my first Jersey cow and calf, now i have 5 jerseys and 3 calfs, 15 sheep, 4 herefords, and i am starting to grow crops on the land around here too. But our area is starting to get really developed and all the land that has been cleared is already rented. The only lesson i have from farming is what i read(which is an awful lot) the 4h club, and my mentors(neighbours ie) Luckily now our family is selling the 83 acres (which we bought for 189 000 cdn 4 years ago) for 993 000 cdn and my parents have some big bills to pay off but we are buying a 110 acre farm about 20 minutes from here with all kinds of barns and machinery sheds and there is lots of land to rent around there. Since i have to buy all the equipment myself , i buy the older stuff to start out on and then i will keep these as antiques(i restore them before i use them) and get newer equipment. Currently i own a forson dexta,a farmall H, and am currently looking at a Farmall Super M , a johndeere A, and a Super H. Sorry if i draged on and on but it would be great to talk with you and share stories and ideas (btw i am 16 too) well thats all for now good luck

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
