I live in rural area. I pull all sorts of trailors around illegally. Basically all farm related. You know the senerio. No trailor tag, no lights or not hooked up to truck if trailor does, and so on. Never had any trouble yet but I stay as close to home as possible and never go down the road after dark. I have even went through good sized town with stock trailor load of cattle and without trailor lights. I would deffinately not go far from home or be on highway alot running like this. You would deffinately be asking to get pulled over if heading to another state. Trailer laws I believe vary from state to state so if I was you I would first check out the laws within your own state and then check out the laws in the other states you wish to travel through and comply with them as well. Using multiple pick-ups and trailors kind of makes it more of a hassel for me to run legal than it is worth and being farm related I fill the cops are more apt to just leave you alone as long as I don't get carried away. Just having one truck and one trailer would be alot simpler to comply with all laws and wouldn't be that big of a hassle after you know what the laws are and get the outfit legal. Then you pretty much just maintain tags, license and so forth.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
