To add a bit more, the chrysler Hemi's had the spark plug top dead center between the valves for better uniform fuel ignition. Desotos had the first Hemi, a 331ci followed by the Chrysler 300 series with the cross ram induction for 354ci and 392ci. Don Garlitt's found the value of these engines for use in the first dragsters.
