What little I know about LPG Tractors: I had a CASE 931 LP. Good, Cheap HP. Filled the tank with just a hose on the liquid port of my pig tank. A hand pump, at least, would be better because the pressure in the tractor tank will not exceed the pressure in the pig tank so if the pig is getting low on gas, you will have a hard time filling the tractor tank.
In cold weather(MI), I started it on vapor and switch it to liquid when it warmed up (there were 2 lines coming from the tractor LP tank, 1 vapor, 1 liquid) otherwise the carburator would ice up. This tractor used the heat from the cooling system to vaporize the liquid. So if started on liquid, the water in the engine wouldn't be warm enough to vaporize it and thus the carb would ice and it would not run.
The difference in the motors, as I understand it, is that other than the vaporizer and carburator the LP motor has hardened valve guides because the LP burns so much cleaner.
One thing I learned, put some sort of anti-sieze on your sparkplug threads when you change them. When I bought the tractor, I had a hard time removing some of the plugs.

Today's Featured Article - Talk of the Town: How to Remove a Broken Bolt - by Staff. Another neat discussion from the Tractor Talk Discussion Forum. The discussion started out with the following post: "I have an aluminum steering gear housing with a bolt broken off in it. The bolt is about a 3/8" x 1 1/2" bolt. I've already drilled the center of the bolt out with about 7/64" drill bit the entire length of the bolt. Only one end of the bolt is visible. I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t ... [Read Article]
