Pretty sad isn't it? I built a hose for my Mom and a year or so after it was done she re-financed for a better rate. Standing in the basement, looking at what is obviously a stick built floor system above us, the appraisor asked what kind of modular it was. Then proceeded to argue with me when I told him it wasn't. As he was leaving I asked him what the charge would be for his service. $400 for an hour inspection and an hour of paperwork for the mortgage co.
