TRACTOR PROBLEMS

My 48 john deere A starts fine,runs fine,pulls fine,the problem is a persistant shimmy or wobble especially in the front end.there is also a noticable and worrysome knock
that seems to be coming from the crankshaft area.,
the main and rod bearings have been checked with no damage and clearances are to spec.It has done this for three years and has not gotten any worse.
ANY IDEAS.
