Actually in Kansas its Farm Bureau that sucks @ss. They usually offer the lowest rates, until you use them. I read the post above about the 5(?) fire claims and losing a lawsuit and could not believe they still had the coverage. My brother (lived in town) had a wind storm take the roof off his house and then a second claim for one of the roofers (about $100) who got hurt putting it back on. Immediate cancelation of his home policy for TWO claims in one year. They still wanted his auto coverage but ALLIED offered him a better rate then Farm Bureau for the package. My mom was dropped when my 16 year old brother hit a deer with the family car (he did have a previous ticket also). When I insured my little 80 acre farm ALLIED covered the house, buildings and the little equipment (replacement value $195,000) and a $700,000 general (personal?) liability for $600 (Kansas). Their car coverage is great also, full coverage with 100/250 deduct 99 Taurus $280 annual, 96 Merc Gran Marquis 220 annual, and 64 3/4 ton was only $100 annual for liability only. Average about one claim every two years for glass or deer strikes, and has not moved more then a few dollars since 1998. PS the tractor is covered on the road going from field to field or mowing the side of the road, didn't ask them about driving in a parade.

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
