Only if you promise not to send your "gold" my way will I give my $.02 worth. If you have as you say a loose connection, it more than likely is your problem. Make sure ALL cnnections are clean and tight. Positive as well as ground connections starting at the battery, starter, alternator/generator and finally the ground to the frame. If it still does as you describe. Connect your multi meter to the starter power terminal and see what the voltage is when you attempt to start it? Does it have system voltage there or does it drop to near zero? Could be a bad cable end. Could be a bed solenoid. Hope any of this helps before you are buried in white stuff!!!!!!
