My grandfather purchased a Farmall F20 new when he started farming. He gave the tractor to me when I was born and I am preparing to get it back into running condition. I've purchased a running F20 for parts if needed (I hope I don't have to use). When my grandfather purchased the tractor it was on steel and sometime later, he had the steel cut of and a rubber rim welded on. My first question deals with these rims. During the remodel process, should I save the original wheels (they were not welded very well, not quite round or true). If I look for replacement rims, what should I look for and what is a reasonable price? What if these rims are from a newer model? Is this an issue? I have spotted a frame and rear wheels that are spoked and look original. Should I try to get these? The moter froze-up several years ago. What are the prospects of busting it free. Also, the exhaust manifold had a flap that you pulled shut until the motor got warm. My manifold is cracked beyound repair and I have not seen one like it. Is it important to find the exact replacement or one that is made for this model. Again, if it is important to have the exact manifold, where do I look for one and what would be a fair price? Any answers to my questions or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. DTR
