I have used many narrow front tractors and wouldn't give a thought to ever buying one to use. For what you want they are simply not suited. These old tricycles are great for field work as you are traveling back and forth in the soil in a relatively straight line with no overhead obstructions. For mowing and working around a small area they are not well suited for the opposite reasopns they can be used effectively in a field. That being said my great uncle has farmed since the 1930s and rolled a tractor for the first time not 5 years ago. It was a Farmall M with a front loader. WE slaughtered a cow and were taking it to the house to butcher. The loader being all the way up to get the cow off the ground and a little bit of mud was enough to get her right over. Generally you should never travel with the loader elevated but when it is necessary you want a wide front end to help out your odds. Keep in mind also that manufacturers have not made narrow front ends for some time- there is a good reson for that. Its like buying a new truck and wanting to utfit it with a 6 volt electric system- it just doesn't make sense when the item has been improved. Good luck and be safe. Consider looking into an implement of husbandry course at you local ag extension office.

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
