I could use some help from someone out there. I have a '53 Jubilee. The battery died over the winter. I recharged it and put it back in backwards, negative ground instead of positive ground! Didn't realize what I'd done except that the ammeter read plus 20 amps at moderate rpm's. Since it seemed to run ok, I ran it a good while. Then I figured out what I'd done. Put the battery back in, this time positive ground. And now the ammeter reads a steady minus 20 amps at moderate rpm's. I got some good advice that maybe the generator needed repolarising, but I tried that and it changed nothing. Don't have a clue what to do next!!! Could use some help. Thanks. Thom
