stumpjumper

I just inherited an old 5' brushhog called "Volunteer". I hit a big rock cutting a pucker brush field the other day and now the stumpjumper isn't rotating level though it's on nice and snug. The bolts that hold the blades are scraping against the deck in one spot slightly. Does this mean I bent the shaft? Or is there a way to realign the stumpjumper? If I did bend the shaft a little can I just file down the bolts so they clear the deck and still run the thing without doing damage to the gear box?
