if it bent the shaft it is possible it will through it way out of balance, it just bent stumpgumper the problem with fileing bolts down is it is possible for those blades to move quite a bit at the ends even when the bolts are tight so the blade end could float up alittle and it will peel that deck open like a can opener i have rebuild alot of decks that people have opend up you would be amazed how thick of steel one of those blades will open up at operating speed
