Just out of curiosity, a 2500 or 250, depending on flavor, is considered a 3/4 ton truck. Just exactly what part of the truck is or is rated for 1500 lbs? Is it just coincidence that GM and Dodge use the same number sequence and Ford's sequence is nearly the same less a zero? It just seems to unlikely that at least one of them would not break tradition to differentiate themselves unless there is some other reason for the sequence. Comments appreciated.
