Thanks for your insight. I looked at a W24C and it was WAY too big. Haven't seen the W8E yet, owner's out of town. He doesn't know much about it. Thinks its 8-9 tons. My interest is to replace my slightly older, similar sized Cat crawler loader, for use on my mountain, with something that won't do so much damage turning. I'll have to see how tippy is is before bringing it home. 4 in 1 bucket would be a welcome improvement over my Cat's gp. This is an early 70's machine with 2500 hrs, ex-military.

I've torn the front axle off my compact tractor a couple of times over-working the loader. This Case seems like a good machine for what I want to do. Don't have much use for a PTO, other than wood-splitting and generator, which the compacts handles.

Like similar threads here, my interest is with a serious loader. I passed up a Case farm tractor at a recent auction. Not that it didn't look great, just that I've been thinking I needed a tractor that was designed for loader work, not just had one stuck on.

Good to hear you didn't experience any "drama". I've already had my fill. Thanks, helped a lot.
