Also be aware of the 5.4L Ford engines, they had a recall on the engines. Something about not getting enough oil to some part of the engine... bad news. As I am a Chevy man myself I have also heard that the new Duramax has problems if you don't let it idle and cool itself (like most folks don't do, us tractor guys know that you have to let a hard worked engine cool) it can crack the heads, I think they are aluminum heads on a cast block... different cooling rates, get my point.
