You have what is referred to as 'unclaimed property' and would be governed by the laws of your state. Check on line for your states Secretary of State or Attorney General. They should have a link as to what you do. Most places you cant add storage unless it was in the origional sales contract, legally title reverts to the state after a period of time in which case they would tell you wheather to sell and deposit the money in the unclaimed property fund or what. Bottom line is it is his mower now.
