Sorry to hear about your mower. Also sorry to say that "she" is probably right about the value, and Not likely worth fixing. I'm guessing it twisted the hitch frame? Mabey cracked the deck? Hauled the curtain and curtain frame apart? I've seen a few Kuhn's at auctions, and never seem to fetch more than $1500 Cad. That's about $1200 USD. However, if they admitted liability, I would think they have an obligation to either repair or replace. It wasn't your fault. You didn't ask for this mess. They did. Just the same, you won't get a new one out of them. We once had a fight with an adjuster on a livestock claim. He didn't like our value. Said he could go to stockyard in his area and get the animals for half the cost. We told him fine. Get same quality, age, and vet certificate of guarntee of health, shipped to us at no cost to us. IT took a year, and a bit of fighting, but the cheque did come. Don't take the first offer. They're just trying to bait you. But like I said before, I think she is right about the value of the mower. Good luck. Rod P.S. I have a NH 465, which is the same as your 77. Excellent mower, except for the wrapping on the outer disc.
