The Farm Bureau you speak of existed in the 1970s as far as I am concerned. It is a lot different today, but that is just my opinion. I voiced my opinion to the local agency a few years ago---that Farm Bureau had just become nothing but a glorified insurance company---and why should I have to pay county dues just to get insurance since I no longer farmed and they weren't representing me, nor have the farmers best insterest at heart. (Sorry for the run on sentence.) I dropped out and paid more elsewhere since they required county dues. I have since had to eat humble pie and go back to their insurance. They are the only company I've found that will insure my 1949 Chevy truck----since it is the only vehicle I have on the road. The humble pie wasn't bad since the agency had changed hands.
