"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I can understand asking what their value is. But of late I see a lot of questions avbout which tractor should I get because it has the most collector's value. Seems that's the wrong way to go - in it for the big bucks. Grab the tractor that _you_ like. Both are just a lump of iron. Collect or restore a tractor because you like the way it looks; or it is something your family used to own; or it is the brand you like; or it will do some work for you. You'll get years of enjoyment that way. If you just buy the one that is a better collector item, it'll sit in a corner, you won't care about it, and where's the fun? Have fun and enjoy. That's the pont. Most collectors in the tractor market are looking to buy low - real low. It's not like classic cars where you want $200,000 for the perfect restoration & armed guards at all times. Buy something cheap, get a few parts & a can of paint. Make it yours, and use it. Seems to be the fun of tractors, not looking for big bucks. (This is not a flame towards you Bovine - you just wanted to know the values. Sorry I don't even know what tractors you are talking about without giving us a color! Just how I've seen some messages of late, & happen to be commenting in your thread.) --->Paul

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
