I have a dumb question, and yes there are some! I am not new to tractors or farming i am a Rancher now. But I just bought a 1975 International 140 and am almost finished with the restoration. But I have this dumb question that keeps nagging me but i know its dumb so i avoid asking, however i have no choice but to bite the bullet and ask. On the right side up front the distributor is mounted on a cast iron component in front of the distributor and this component is a small tank with a cap on it is this where the engine oil fill is or is it something else? there are two lines that run from this proximity to the hyd. tank. What is this small tank for ? am i right is it where the crankcase oil is added, Is it also a resivoir ? if so how do i know how much oil to add ? man i feel dumber than a box of rocks. any help would be most appreciated.
