This ain't a rocket ship! Unless the old gear is noticibly worn there should be no problem there. I did one 3 years ago and it worked just fine. If you are uncomfortable mixing old and new just go ahead and price the replacement gear. Those 806 bull gears were so noisy I bet you cant tell the difference.
