All this is getting confusing. I've seen belts twisted, and straight. I watched an Aultman-Taylor 30-60 run a thresher at the Gathering of the Orange last year in Marshalltown, IA last year and they did not twist the belt on it. Right next to that rig, they were using an R John Deere to thresh and its belt was twisted. As near as I can see, twisting the belt is primarily for changing direction as the JD's pulley ran the opposite way, and probably has the added benefit of the "Mobious Ring" and maybe helping to keep the belt on. Am I correct? Brian
