First there would have to be a legitimate reason for doing so,such as the Allis/rubber tire promo.Tractors are about Power not Speed,and how much work they'll do on how little fuel.The high speeds that the Love,Moline UDLX,Silver King and others were capable of were actually quite unsafe on a vehicle w/o suspension,poor steering geometry and high center of gravity.I'm sure a custom tractor could be built for such a record attempt,BUT if it were built would it BE a tractor or a THING like a tractor?Anything can be done with enough money and engineering,the WHY is the sticky part.Not trying to be smart here,just put out the facts.......And got busted twice for speeding in my youth on a hot Ford Jube,w/Sherman step up and tall tires,32&35 in a 25 zone.Loved that lil Dorf :)
