I have removed the drive shaft at the transmission end and put two bolts in the output shaft flange. then with the tractor in gear and 4wd lever engaged, used a 45 cm lever and with about 4o to 50 lbs applied to the lever the flange turns. it feels as if it slips then grabs. when it slips there is no noise to indicate damaged splines or gears.
