2000 psi is an average working pressure for most loader backhoe hyd. system. It is hard for me to believe that yours is operating strongly at 1450. Most hyd. pumps are designed that when fluid makes it way past the gears and shaft bushing for normal lubrication there are return holes built in the pump housing to keep oil pressure from building up behind the seal. In your case you may also have to much oil being forced back into the return line thus pushing the seal out. Not knowing what your loader and backhoe set up is, it is possible that a 22 gpm pump is more volume than you need. GEO
