I heard Jackie Stewart respond to the seatbelt question some time back. His thinking was: "If something happens that causes you to be thrown out of your seat so that you are no longer able to control your vehicle and your vehicle crosses the road and hits my vehicle, your decision not to wear a seat belt just became MY business." This arguement will go on endlessly. You can deny the facts all you want, but that doesn`t change them. Staying in the vehicle is the safest and seatbelts keep you in the vehicle. Do you suppose many race car drivers would survive crashes without seatbelts?
