First off what a great site.I have 1950 8n I have done a wet and dry compression test all cylinders had a 115 pounds pressior. The smoke is white / blue color and smokes more when first started up, after running for a while it's not to bad.But when you give it a lot of gas or take off real fast it will smoke a bunch. The engine is smooth and quiet running / except a popping sound in the exhaust.A friend told me i could hold a pieace of paper at the end of the tailpipe to see if it suck it in to tell if it had a bad exhaust valve everything seems fine there.Neil my question is does it sound like a overhaul,I was hoping I could get by with a ring job. PLEASE YOUR HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. hlwilliams@conninc.com
