I have posted here about by Wisconsin VF4D engine running hot on one cyl. And about what color a exhaust valve ought to run. I have now determained that I do have the wrong distributor in this engine. For the boards information. The Wisconsin VF4D engine, recognized by it's three part manifold system should have the distibutor with the UNEVEN cam lobes. The VH4D recognized by its one part manifold, should run the distibutor with the evenly spaced cam lobes. Now...that being said, I have not yet changed mine, but upon watching and moving the cyl by hand, and comparing the location of the rotor, it appeared suspect. This morning I called a Wisconsin engine rebuilding company and they confirmed the above information. Thank you for all of your help, and a special thanks to Bob for starting me down the distributor path. Bruce
