YESconverting from 6 to 12 volt you have to put in a ballast resistor to keep from burning points out of distrubtor . Also you can use a genarator from a WD9 or WD6 trator which are 12volt instead of altenartor . The ballast resistor is a RU-12 made by STANDARD IGNITION PARTS. Need anymore info.give me a call
