I stole my own wood once, does that count? Wanted some pasture cleared out, so let a number of local folks cut wood, over several years time. In the meantime I also started cutting and burning wood. Out cutting one day I noticed a lot of 6 inch pieces scattered about the area, so I picked them up. A few months later my mail man asked who else was cutting there, since all his little pieces were gone. Said he cut some short for a fishhouse stove, and hadn't picked them up. Lucky for him, he could still get them from my wood pile. All in one spot, too.
