Mike, you sound like you know more than I would but just in case, don't do as I did - I blew a hydraulic seal and went to the local hardware store, matched the size (it was an "O" ring) and put it in. Worked for about a month. Then blew out again and replaced again. Worked about a month again and blew. Took ring to a store that had sold me a hose. Although they looked excactly the same the "true" hydraulic seals were stiffer than the hardware store ones - and were pressure rated.
