Does auction buying void trailer Warranty ???

I bought a new Load-trail (PJ)trailer at a local
auction.After I bought it I asked the dealer
who sold it if he had the key to the box on the
front of the trailer.He said,"You bought what was
there" and walked away.I called the company to
get a key and a instruction manual and they said if you bought it at auction,no key,no book,
no warranty.Some customer service,all I wanted
was a key and a book,I won't buy anything else
from them.I bet if someone got hurt with one of
their trailers and a lawyer found that they
refused to furnish an owners manual with the
safety warnings they would be in a lot of trouble.
