I was thinking back today

I first got into old tractors about 1989.At that time all I would do is ride around and there were old tractors everywhere in fence rows . The highest price I gave for a trator in that era was $350 for a WD Allis. I probally had 10 give to me to haul off and the rest I got were $150 or under. I ended up with 18 before the craze hit and all the fencerow tractors disapeared at the price went through the roof. In the late 1980s you could buy good running "A" JDs or 8n Fords for $500 all day long. At that time all a tractor was worth is what it could do on a farm. All old tractors were considered wore out and outdated. Boy have times changed.

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
