This is a variation on email scams allegedly providing you with a payment more than your asking price on the item, and they ask you to rebate an amount back to them, for some reason. What happens is that the "agent" may provide you with a fraudulent/counterfeit money order or check, demand the overage be returned to him before you know for sure that money order or check is a fraud and you probably ship the tractor, to never see it again, either. You should question or refuse any offer that is over and above your asking price, since it is probably fraudulent. Even if you demand cash, you should meet the buyer at a bank and immediately deposit the money into your bank, to ensure that the money is not counterfeit, not to mention personal security reasons. A strategy to determine if the potential buyer is not a fraud is to demand cash in person (meeting at the bank of your choice) and tell the proposed buyer that he must arrange for prepaid freight delivery of the tractor before you meet. That will probably drive the fraudulent buyer away. This assumes that you wish to pursue one of the offers. I would advise against it since the probably of the offer being a fraud is about 99.9%.
