Simplicity with front-end loader - PTO problem

A little over 1 year ago, I bought a used Legacy (1999). After about 35 hours of work, the PTO belts broke because the pulley had loosened on the shaft (the hole had widened, in fact, when I looked at it, I assumed the last guy had put on the wrong pulley) and the pulley was so wobbly the belts broke. As a result, I replaced the pulley, shaft, key, washers, retaining rings, and belts. Everything was snug and I figured my problems were over. 50 hours later, I'm going through the same process except that I'm also replacing the bearings although they looked and felt fine. I e-mailed Simplicity and they told me that there was no redesign anticipated and no know design issues. Any ideas before I get it all put back together?
