Didn't happen to me, but I was wondering if it ever does happen? I've learned about some attempted fraud happening on E-bay tractor sales, so it got me to thinking. I just committed a hauler I met on the phone to pick up a tractor I bought over the phone and across the country. Once the seller has my money and gives tractor to hauler, what if the hauler just high tails it and I never hear from him again? I'm sure this is not the case, and my hauler certainly sounded trustworthy. Do you think he would be offended if I asked seller to get a photo copy of his driver's license? Jot down license plate number? I've bought cars before and had them shipped cross country sight unseen without ever having a problem, but I've never bought something as expensive as this recent tractor. Just curious - what do other's do?
