Thats true as far as it goes. However, you may want to adjust the top link (lengthen it) on your three point so that the rear tire stays on the ground until the front of the mower is off the ground 6" or so. This way, you can mow "high" to avoid stumps and rocks without the three-point taking all the load. In "transport" position, certainly the rear wheel should be off the ground.
