Wished I could say the same about my 2001 3/4t with the allison trany. Driving back and forth to work I was lucky to get 8. I took it on a road trip not pulling anything and I got about 10.5. Had to use cruise or I would have had red lights behind me. Does have the power, hopefully Sunday I'll test it out with a load on it. The guy I work with bought a 2001 1/2 extended cab with the 6.0 and he claims he gets 16 or better. My 97 1/2 with 350 vortec would get 18 hwy. With gas prices I wished I had my 97 back.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
