AH, yes Ray, 1942 was a good year to be born! I grew up in Gary and graduated from high school in 1960 also. My road atlas tells me that Linton is southwest of Bloomington. I got my first experience as an equipment mechanic in the steel mills, working on what they called "tractors" - big rigs that moved 20 ton steel coils around the mill (Solid tires, propane fueled Continental sixes that ran electric generators that powered the electric traction motors, lots of hydraulics). Sure a lot different then these Ferguson's. I spent my profesional career in the aircraft industry and ranched cattle on the side til retirement. Now my wife and I are developing a small ranch in western Montana. Workin' our behinds off and enjoying every minute of it! Good talkin'to an fellow Hoosier.
