Did a '39 MM ZTU Have a dist. or mag?

Just purchaced a '39 MM ZTU and it is missing the ignition system. It has a port directly in front of the motor for what looks like a distributor but I don't know for sure. Also need a battery box cover. I'm in Wisconsin. any help appreciated!
