Redman, IH did indeed build a turbine tractor. The HT340 was an expermental tractor introduced in 1961. Its home for the last 30 or so years has been the Smithsonian museum. It is now on loan to I&I Tractor &Gas Engine Club in Penfield Illinois. To the best of my knowledge, it never got past the expermental stage and no plans for mass production were ever discussed.
