I too was looking for the best 30 HP compact utility tractor for the money. Last week I purchased a Kubota B7800. The New Holland was my second choice (I liked the looks of the TC30 better than the Boomer). The New Hollands did not look as well built as the Kubota. I also read about incidents of transmission housings breaking and the factory reps not even wanting to look at them if the waranty had expired. The New Hollands were even priced a little higher. John Deere's were even more expensive, the dealer did not seem even interested in trying to earn my business. What bothered me the most was John Deere's are made by Yanmar and New Hollands are made by Shibaura, at least Kubota's are made by Kubota. I will know where to get parts if I need them in 10 or 15 years. I stopped in the service department to ask the mechanic of any known Kubota problems, his reply was that he only works on very old ones as the new ones have not yet had a chance to wear out to the point that they start breaking down. In his words, Kubota's are practically bullet proof. That is why I went with "orange". I also think that I will retain more resale value, than the other two. I was also informed that the Kubota loaders are built better than the NH's.

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
