If you can not get it to moveing threw the oil filler hole, you may have the same problem that I did. The spring an clip on the bottom of the shifter came loose, getting caught in shifting rail. this made it all most imposible to get out of reverse or frist. Had to take top cover of trans to replace spring, and clip. I would becarful takeing the pin out of the shifter you could loose this spring. Good luck
