The build card is a fine source of info to find out the particulars of "Grandpa's" old tractor. Some people are detail oriented, read the manuals and are particular etc. Other people can’t/won’t handle details. Lots of people can barely read and don’t like anything in print. Also helps trace and trap unscrupulous venders/collectors who build a rare tractor from a common model. What's $10.00? A day of two worth of smokes or a 2-3 beers at the bar. Nobody getting rich on the data, even if someone did, why be jealous? I just got the serial number info from one of my 840 two cylinder yesterday. Turns out it was an engineering test tractor then rebuilt back into a production tractor? That $15.00 search increased the value of the tractor with an excellent return on investment.
