i have a 89 ford f 250 thathas a short in the ac compressor/ blower wiring. it all started when i moved the selector from off to ac. i heard a pop and later found that the blower fuse under the dash had melted. i replaced the blower motor with no change. the fuse still melts when i move the the selector from off to ac or max or defrost. i took the switch out of the console that controls the fan speed and the heat and cooling/heating and tested them and they appear to be working properly. both leads to the ac compressor show to be grounded on my ohmmeter. i think the switch in the steering coloumn is where the short is. what i think i need is a wiring diagram for an 89 ford truck so i can wire around the ignition switch in the steering column to see if that is where the problem is. any body got a wiring diagrm i will pay for copying and your trouble any other ideas. oh yeah, the blower will work at all speeds if i leave the climate control selector on blower. thanks for your concern. bh
