Craig has some good advise as to problems with a diesel engine & how to tell. I think you only have a 2 cyl, 3 at most, so you would 'know' if you were totally missing a cylinder!!!! :) With so little hp, just a little weight can make quite a difference going up a hill. Very hard to compare the Kubota to the Ford as you are doing - any wheel weights, loader, implements, wheel size, gearing issues that are different? Perhaps your Ford goes just a little bit faster, this will show up a lot tho on torque. Hydro tranny. They take 25% of your power in heating the oil right there. Can only compare to other hydro tractors. A gear tractor will have 25% more torque for the same hp, in general. --->Paul
