There are Amish in many parts of PA, but there is a concentration of them in eastern Lancaster County. East and south of Lancaster City is the "prime" area if you want to see some working in a field. Route 340 through Bird-in-Hand, Intercourse and White Horse, Route 30 east of Lancaster and Route 741 from Lampeter to Gap are roads you would want to travel. The area north of Route 30 and south of Route 23, in eastern Lancaster County, would probably give you the most to see in the shortest amount of time,(In my opinion). Although you may encounter Amish nearly anywhere in Lancaster County, and parts of Lebanon, Chester, York, Adams and Berks Counties too. If you are near Kinzers PA )Route 30, near Gap)August 18-21 stop by at Rough & Tumble for our 56th Annual Threserman's Reunion. By the way, have a good time while you're vacationing in my back yard ;)
